Collaborations

At bb15 – space for contemporary art, collaborations with other institutions form an essential part of our curatorial and artistic practice. We view partnership as a means to exchange knowledge, share resources, and foster dialogue across disciplines and borders. Through collaborative projects, we aim to establish sustainable networks that strengthen the independent art scene and enable the development of new forms of artistic production and presentation.

Oscillations: Exercises in Resilience

Oscillations is an international exchange program exploring the tension between acoustic and visual art forms from a maker’s perspective. The program aims to facilitate the circulation of artists working with sound across national and disciplinary boundaries as well as to foster knowledge exchange between artist-run spaces.

Oscillations was a two-year exchange program taking place in 2020-2022 linking four artist-run organisations: Overtoon (BE), bb15 (AT), iii (NL)Lydgalleriet (NO). Oscillations was Co-funded by the Creative Europe Program of the European Union.

VILLA NORTH

bb15 collaborates with Villa North, a cultural association that connects artists, writers, and theorists through creative and intellectual exchange. Selected artists spend their residency at Villa North developing new works, which are later presented in solo exhibitions at bb15 — fostering a dialogue between artistic production, research, and public presentation.

AMRO: Art Meets Radical Openness

AMRO is a biennial festival and platform for art, hacktivism, and open culture, organized by servus.at in cooperation with the University of Art and Design Linz. Bringing together artists, activists, and researchers from around the world, AMRO explores how technology shapes society and culture through creative and critical approaches. Since 2023, bb15 has collaborated with AMRO to present a solo exhibition, extending the festival’s dialogue between art, technology, and social change into our space.
